Swirling Energy Mandala

This is another exercise in my “Mandala” book. I love the use of color on black, it is SO vibrant.
I have found using the bit of meditation before doing one of these is really a great way to begin.

I have found using the bit of meditation before doing one of these is really a great way to begin.

This is the next exercise in Judith Cornell’s “Mandala” book. The exercise called for using the hands outlined with white colored pencil and then making a design of it. I admit to cheating a little because the use of colored pencils is not called for until the 4th exercise, however, let me explain how it happened.
Before each exercise she encourages a few minutes of meditation to seek our light within. My light within is full of color so I was ‘forced’ to use color with the white.
The most amazing part of this whole experience is the feeling of well-being after I do one of these. Does anyone else have this?
Please excuse the white pencil all over. I guess I really got into it.

I am reading and doing the exercises from Judith Cornell’s book, “Mandala, Luminous Symbols for Healing”.This is my light from within, the second exercise in the book. White colored pencil on black paper. Very dramatic looking.
She starts each chapter with a meditation.
I think I am going to enjoy reading this book. I want to know more about mandalas.
