Glory Mandala

Filed under: One Single Impression, Sharpies, mandala — teric @ 12:36 pm

The prompt at One Single Impression this week is “Glory”.  It seems I just naturally think of the American Flag when I hear the word ‘glory’.

First I wrote the haiku then did the mandala.

Glory of the flag
It represents our freedom
Stars and stripes wave on!

Last week I read a new type of poem (to me).  Thanks to MEEAUGRAPHIE for writing “Increasing Syllables 1-7″ so I had to try one.

Glory
of our
freedom flag
waving in the breeze
telling the world
we are a free people
Wave on, oh red, white and blue.

Visit “One Single Impression” to read some wonderful haikus and other poetry.
