Faces Mandala

July 27, 2008

The prompt at One Single Impression this week is ‘faces’ and I knew I would have fun with it the minute I saw it.   First I wrote the haiku as doing it that way seems to direct me.

Eyes, ears, nose and mouth
They are all so different
Yet so much the same

Then I did the mandala.

That is a wonderful mandala, Teri. That we are unique is a mystery and a miracle, indeed.

I like the artwork, fits the haiku very well, don’t we see ourselves in others?

I love the poem and the mandala! Like me and my camera, I love those eyes at the bottom seeming to look up at the host of faces above them. Wonderful post.

Teri this is a great mandala. I love the lady with blue hair. I had a dream once that I had blue hair. I woke up and looked into the mirror to make sure it wasn’t true. Ha…

Your haiku is oh so true too.

I thought of your fun as soon as I saw the prompt, too. I thought I could not wait to see what you would do. And how each human face, round and with unique and reflective content, is a Mandala in its own right. God is the Captain Creative!
    As alway, love your work.
