Spectacle Mandala

August 31, 2008

I had a lot of fun doing this one.   I love how the black paper makes everything pop.

The prompt at One Single Impression this week is ‘spectacle’.

The star spectacle
Sparkling, shooting and hunting
Share the night with them

This was fun to write and to make a mandala for.

..a fabulous mandala!_”shooting and hunting”-well crafted phrase in an attractive poem_[i’ve not exactly stolen ur idea of “five fragrant flowers” from ur poem on ‘folly’/osi but i’ve tried something similar sounding for ‘spectacle’.i’m sure u won’t be angry teri]..thank u for sharing this..

I love your starry, starry night mandala and haiku. Is that the Milky Way I see?

That was fun to read and see, Teri! I love it. Thanks. I like the idea of sharing the night with the stars.

I knew you would figure it out; the hunter is Orion, the three close stars just off the Big Dipper, and yes, that is the milky way.

Zoya, I am honored that you would use my alliteration idea-need to get over and see it.

Love this! I sure hope you aren’t offended if I say this, but I would love that on a T-shirt (my old one with the galaxy wore out!)

Fablous mandala and haiku. They go with our weekend as we had a party to initiate the Casa de Pantalla and we got the scope out to look at the stars and Jupiter with its moons. Fun.

Wow I´m drawn in to the cosmos……..

Brilliantly vibrant, that mandala. I can see why you’d enjoy making it when you could envision such an end result. I’m thinking Carl Sagan now. Why is that? Impressive.
