“Two Leaves Mandala”

May 4, 2011

image

The mandala and poem were created for the “Thursday Poet’s Rally“.

Two leaves followed me home today
Dancing and skipping behind me
Such delightful companions
To share my morning walk with

So we all danced along
To the tune of the bluebird’s song
Two leaves
One bird
and me

Thank you Poet’s Rally!

I nominate Thingy.

Thanks for stopping by. This actually happened to me on my walk: suddenly I could hear leaves on the road behind me and the thought jumped in my head…’two leaves are following me home’ and the poem developed from there.
